Service: bank-mcp-eb — Last updated: 11 June 2026

bank-mcp-eb is a self-hosted, personal tool that gives the operator's own AI assistant read-only access to the operator's own bank accounts through the Enable Banking account information service (PSD2 AIS). It does not initiate payments and does not move money.

1. Who is responsible

This software is operated by an individual for personal use. Contact: stefanodellamico@yahoo.com.

2. What data is accessed

With the account holder's explicit consent, the service accesses, via Enable Banking, the following account information: account identifiers (e.g. IBAN, product name, currency), account balances, and transaction history (date, amount, counterparty, description). No credentials of the bank are ever seen by this software — authentication happens directly between the account holder and their bank.

3. How data is used and stored

Account information is retrieved on demand to answer the operator's own queries (e.g. balances, spending summaries). Configuration and the Enable Banking session reference are stored locally on the operator's own device (under ~/.bank-mcp-eb) with restricted file permissions. A short-lived in-memory cache holds account data for up to one hour and transactions for up to fifteen minutes; it is not persisted to disk.

4. Sharing

Account information is not sold, published, or shared with third parties. It is exchanged only with: (a) Enable Banking, the regulated account information service provider used to reach the bank; and (b) the AI assistant that the operator runs locally to process their own queries.

5. Consent and retention

Access is granted through the bank's own PSD2 consent flow and is limited in duration by that consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the bank or by deleting the local session. Local configuration can be removed by deleting the ~/.bank-mcp-eb directory.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, the account holder may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data, and may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. Requests can be sent to the contact above.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.

Terms of Service

Service: bank-mcp-eb — Last updated: 11 June 2026

1. The service

bank-mcp-eb is a personal, self-hosted tool that provides read-only access to bank account information through the Enable Banking account information service (PSD2 AIS). It retrieves accounts, balances, and transactions so the operator can query their own finances. It does not initiate payments or move money.

2. Eligibility and consent

You may only connect bank accounts that you own or are authorised to access. Access is granted through your bank's PSD2 consent flow; by connecting an account you confirm you have the right to do so.

3. No financial advice

Information presented by the service is for the operator's own information only and does not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. Figures may be cached briefly and may not reflect real-time balances.

4. Availability

The service depends on Enable Banking and on the account holder's bank, and may be unavailable or limited at any time. It is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee.

5. Disclaimer and liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator and authors are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, including reliance on displayed information or service interruptions.

6. Withdrawal

You may withdraw account access at any time through your bank or by deleting the local session and configuration. Doing so stops further data retrieval.
